Public Health Wastewater Monitoring Fund
The uOttawa Public Health Wastewater Monitoring Fund supports activities related to confidentially monitoring the city of Ottawa’s wastewater to track disease. The work is conducted by the University of Ottawa’s CIHR Chair in Applied Public Health Environment, Climate Change and One Health.
The monitoring generates open source data that is accessible to the Ottawa community and is used by Ottawa Public Health to understand health risks and outbreaks and to educate the public.
Funds can also be used to support research related to wastewater monitoring by the University of Ottawa’s CIHR Chair in Applied Public Health Environment, Climate Change and One Health.
